Preventing MxPro 5 temperature sensor faults
Axis EN panels monitor the temperature of their batteries and adjust chargi=
ng levels to avoid overheating. This prevents damage to the cell and its en=
closure and maintains the integrity of the back-up power supply to the pane=
l, ensuring constant fire protection for people and premises.
If the batteries are housed in the panel, the temperature sensor is located=
on the base card. If the panel=E2=80=99s batteries are in a separate enclo=
sure, an optional remote temperature sensor =E2=80=93 the Mxp-501 =E2=80=93=
is used to monitor their temperature.
A battery charger/temperature fault can sometimes occur if the temperature =
sensor is removed or in the wrong position.=C2=A0 To rectify this, you can =
do the following:
For batteries within the panel: On the right-hand side of the base card, un=
der the caged power supply, there is a 4-pin jumper connector (see image be=
low). Check it=E2=80=99s positioned across pins 2 and 3.
For external batteries: The (optional) remote sensor should be routed from =
the main control panel =E2=80=93 at a distance no greater than 3m =E2=80=93=
and placed between the cells.
