Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update
Further to our previous coronavirus communication, we wanted to update you =
on our current position. Throughout this time, we remain focused on two key=
aspects: the health and welfare of our staff and our ability to continue t=
o support our customers and maintain supply.
Our staff:
Staff who are able to work from home are doing so wherever possible. You ca=
n continue to reach your usual Advanced contacts by phone and email. Our IT=
infrastructure is working well and is able to support the increased demand=
, so we are maintaining normal levels of customer service.
We have encouraged all our staff members who fall into any of the UK Govern=
ment=E2=80=99s =E2=80=98at increased risk=E2=80=99 groups, to either work f=
rom home, or to adopt social distancing and remain away from the workplace =
in order to protect themselves, our staff and the NHS.=C2=A0
=C2=A0
For those who need to be on site, including production operators, we have p=
ut in place a range of precautionary measures, following the Government=E2=
=80=99s =E2=80=98social distancing=E2=80=99 guidance, in order to ensure th=
eir wellbeing and reduce the chance of infection in the workplace.
While staff absence remains relatively low at this time, we are seeing some=
impact on our output and lead times as a result of a reduction in operator=
s combined with increased demand.
Our supply chains:
We continue to have good stock levels of many components. However, we are b=
eginning to see some minor disruption to supply and logistics in some areas=
. We want to reassure you that despite this, we are still in a good positio=
n to fulfil existing orders=C2=A0and we are working extremely hard to maint=
ain quality levels, business continuity and on-time delivery of products.
Customer training:
Please note that all scheduled customer training courses have been postpone=
d until further notice.=C2=A0 As soon as we have new dates these will be po=
sted on the website, and included the monthly enewsletter you receive as an=
Advanced360 member.=C2=A0=C2=A0Any customers who currently have training b=
ooked will be prioritised, and we will contact you directly to reschedule.
Going forward:
As circumstances relating to the coronavirus outbreak are constantly changi=
ng, we continue to closely follow the latest UK Government guidance. We are=
also working collaboratively with our colleagues across Halma =E2=80=93 th=
e FTSE 100 company of which we are part =E2=80=93 to implement best practic=
e in minimising the impact of the situation on your business and ours.
Whilst we are currently able to operate relatively normally; the rapidly ch=
anging situation means that we are considering many options dependent on lo=
cal and global factors and how things may play out over time. We are commit=
ted to keeping you updated with any change to our position as new informati=
on comes to light.
