MxPro 5 panels meet the EN54-13 standard. which means they immediately high=
light potential weaknesses in a fire system design or installation where vo=
ltage/current demands are too high.
Meeting EN54-13 requires:
* Loop cable resistance =E2=80=93 determined by cable variation (1.5mm ca=
ble =E2=80=93 1km & 2.5mm cable =E2=80=93 2km)=C2=A0
* Typical voltage output from loop card =E2=80=93 24vdc-32vdc
* Loop current driver capacity =E2=80=93 500mA (max)
* Permissible voltage drop based upon resistive load =E2=80=93 7v (max)
If loop calculations exceed the maximum limits stated above, the CIE will r=
eport a =E2=80=98High Resistance Fault=E2=80=99. Yu can check results on th=
e panel using the menu option Access Level 3 > Next Menu > EN54-13, as show=
n in the image below.
